About Me

My name's Kay Brinton and I'm a 20-year-old artist from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. I've had an interest in the arts since I was really young, and I've worked and developed my craft over the years. After graduating from Methacton High School in 2022, I enrolled in the BFA program at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA), in Philadelphia, PA. I spent two years at PAFA before they shut down their BFA program, and it was during these two years that my love for ceramics and pottery-making outshined what I originally went to PAFA for. While I still appreciate painting, ceramics has quickly become my number one medium. I also enjoy figure sculpting, crochet, baking, reading, and the occasional herbology. Many of my other hobbies and interests make appearances in my work, whether it's inspiration I draw from, or the physical act of incorporating several mediums into one piece. As I continue down my artistic journey, I learn new techniques and mediums to help strengthen and develop my work.
